Each state cannabis regulator publishes its own licensee list on its own schedule. straindex ingests these feeds and surfaces only the records flagged current and active. New states are added as their regulators publish accessible data.

geo coverage
Some state feeds publish full addresses with coordinates; others only publish the address text. straindex geocodes addresses progressively after ingest. Rows with a 0% geo number still appear in name/city/zip search but will not return a distance for "near me" radius queries.
a state is missing
We add a state only after we can pull a machine-readable licensee feed directly from the regulator. Some states publish PDFs; those wait until we can confirm the data with a second source. If your state is legal and missing, that's why.
